Main issues
Originally, the client operated an online store using the Magento 1 platform. However, over time, the company encountered several challenges:
Maintenance
To maintain the security of their Magento 1 online store, the client needed to install multiple security patches. Unfortunately, these updates frequently led to conflicts within Magento 1 components, resulting in a substantial increase in the website maintenance costs.
Conversions
The Magento 1 online store’s design was outdated, and the checkout process was cumbersome, spanning five screens. Moreover, the store suffered from slow loading speeds. These issues detracted from the customer experience, adversely affecting the customer journey and decreasing the conversion rate.
Invoices
Given that the client operates in the B2B sector, they needed sophisticated functionality, such as the ability to send invoices. Unfortunately, Magento 1 lacked the necessary extensions to fulfill all of the client’s business requirements.
Marketplace integration
Richter Gabelstapler’s business strategy involved integrating with third-party marketplaces, a feature not supported by Magento 1. Recognizing the need to upgrade, Richter Gabelstapler sought to migrate their online store from Magento 1.7 to Magento 2.0 by relying on our proven Magento 2 migration services.

Our solution
Migrating to Magento 2
Product data (product attributes, categories, ratings and reviews, manufacturers, etc.)
Customer information (logins, passwords, order history, etc.)
Order information (orders, payments, invoices, etc.)
SEO setup (titles, descriptions, metadata, redirects, etc.)
Setting the Magento 2 theme
To improve the website’s conversion rate and optimize the customer journey, we implemented a new design and reconfigured the layout in a way that was specifically tailored for B2B customers. This redesign focused on creating a mobile-friendly interface, offering an improved shopping experience that aligns with the needs and preferences of B2B clientele.
Integrating Magento 2 invoice payments
To cater to B2B customers, we integrated the Magento 2 Invoice Payment extension into the website. This extension enables automatic invoice creation, allowing customers to pay for their orders on account, a payment method highly favored in the B2B sector.
Working with M2E Pro Amazon & eBay integrations
To expand the range of sales channels, we implemented M2E Pro, native Amazon and eBay solutions tailored for Magento 2 websites. This integration seamlessly connects the website’s back end with eBay and Amazon, allowing for listing products directly from the Magento product catalog. This provided the client with robust capabilities to manage orders, regulate pricing, and synchronize inventory across various channels.
