The platform must provide visibility to all parts of the technology stack in order to quickly resolve any issues that could degrade the quality of customer purchases.
This is important because buyers do not understand if the error is due to the frontend, backend, infrastructure, or third-party payment processor. They just go to competitors if they cannot or find it difficult to buy what they want. Whatever the reason, the frustration of not being able to make a purchase can lead to huge losses for your business - lost profits, customer dissatisfaction, bad reviews, and more.
By and large, all types of monitoring are carried out using two types of solutions:
- authentic ones, integrated with special plugins;
- third-party services.

A clear sign that income is at stake is your store’s unavailability. If the buyer is unable to review the offers, sales are not possible.
This happens when there are problems with the hosting or server. Or after an incorrect update of plugins or the entire system of the store, as a result of which the platform will not work properly. To rule this out, you must continuously (every five minutes) and automatically check if the website is accessible externally.
ECommerce research has shown how significant the impact of online store performance on conversion rates is. Since we are talking about Shopware monitoring, we can assume that the performance is already at a high level. Choosing a hosting provider is important, and there can be a lot of differences.
Roughly half of the potential customers come to your site through search engines. Therefore, optimization has huge potential to increase sales. To get started, use the Google Lighthouse tool. Make sure your online store works flawlessly on mobile devices. Shopware is perfectly prepared for this, however, it is important to check compatibility with installed plugins.

It is important to consider periods of peak sales separately from off-peak times. This is the only way to identify meaningful thresholds. We recommend checking the following indicators for the last hour/day:
- A number of orders;
- A sales turnover (sales volume);
- The number of users that entered the system;
- New logins - how many new users registered;
- Abandoned carts;
- Newsletter subscription - how many people are subscribed.
In addition to KPIs, there are extra indicators to track in ecommerce:
- A sitemap that must meet a specific standard and include all of the store's products.
- Correct display of prices, which may suffer due to external PIM errors.
A key factor in monitoring is link clicks. This process should be performed every 5-60 minutes, or immediately after a new deployment. Since this can take a very long time, this is the last thing to implement. The tools you can use to do this are Leankoala, Selenium, or Cypress.
All of these monitoring methods are usually effective. After completing all these tasks, you will have a perfect web store monitoring setup. However, we recommend that you constantly monitor the security updates of the store’s system.

Monitoring via koality.io

You will receive a message if the store is not available or if it takes too long to respond to your request. This feature checks the store start page and up to 4 freely definable URLs on your store's domain.
Error messages and exceptions help you stay informed when visitors encounter error messages or other processes that generate them. It also records error messages that cannot be recorded using the standard Shopware function “Send error message to store operator”.
You will be notified if Shopware cron jobs are not running or there are errors. The system also informs you when cron jobs are activated or deactivated. This is how you watch out for administrative errors.
You will control whether product feeds are created/updated correctly, it is checked if product streams are generated according to their configuration. The threshold, upon deviation from which a notification is generated, can be configured.
If items are removed/activated/deactivated from the store, you will receive a message. You will receive a notification if there are no images assigned to the items. Problems in the synchronization processes with the ERP/Wawi system can be identified, as well as simple maintenance errors.
You will be able to manage an unlimited number of stores through the administrative console. Agencies and multi-store operators can significantly improve the quality of their services with MND Monitoring Advanced.
In order to connect a store to the service, you need to install a client plugin for Shopware, which serves as an interface.
You can connect your store to MND Monitoring Advanced with a security key. After the first connection, status information is regularly requested and evaluated over a secure SSL connection.
The service only transmits the data necessary for the assessment. You can activate or deactivate the transfer of individual functions in the client plugin. To ensure secure transmission of data, the store must have a valid SSL certificate for the domain.
Monitoring from Shop Doctor
Shop Doctor offers paid health check solutions that guarantee the stability of the online store and prompt notification when an intervention is required. Three packages are available to customers: "Beginner", "Professional" and "Corporate". In addition, customized solutions are offered.
If you cannot reach the store, you will be immediately informed using the provided notification channels. Store error messages are tracked, analyzed, and emailed to customers with suggestions for fixes.
