Zebrapack is an online store specializing in wholesale shipping and mailing supplies that caters to both the B2B and B2C market segments. The company sought to enhance its service offerings with custom prints to stand out in a competitive ecommerce market and more effectively attract and retain customers.

Scalability and security issues with Magento 1

Zebrapack was operating on Magento 1.9, a platform that was becoming increasingly outdated. Our client experienced slow performance that, in turn, affected the customer experience and led to a drop in sales.

Migrating to the latest version of Magento was essential to stay ahead in the digital commerce space.


Lack of customization options

Zebrapack’s primary objective was to differentiate offerings through the introduction of custom modules for printing images on boxes and envelopes — a strategy aimed at fostering customer retention and acquisition.

A decline in repeat purchases and stagnation of the customer base were clear indicators that Zebrapack needed to rethink its customer engagement and retention strategies. Migration to Magento 2.4.6

Dinarys expertly transitioned Zebrapack’s ecommerce platform from Magento 1.9 to Magento 2.4.1. Following this, we further upgraded the platform to Magento 2.4.6 in a second phase. This transition was critical to keep up with technological advancements and ensure a robust and scalable online platform. Dinarys was able to transfer all essential data, including customer information, product details, and order history, without disruption to Zebrapack’s operations.

Integration of a custom printing module

This module enabled customers to upload their own designs or logos and apply them to various products, such as mailers and packing supplies, directly on the Zebrapack platform. The interactive nature of this module enhanced the customer experience by allowing for real-time customization and visualization of the final product.

Custom referral program

The referral program we developed for Zebrapack allows Ambassadors to invite an unlimited number of Referees, offering a unique opportunity to earn a 5% commission on every purchase made by those referred.

Unlike typical one-time deals, this program enables Ambassadors to build a network and continuously earn commission for up to a year on their referees’ transactions. Additionally, to attract potential referees, each invitation includes a special offer of a 5% discount for one month on Zebrapack purchases, enhancing the appeal of joining the program.

Results achieved
